You know there's something seriously wrong with your programming code when even your teacher, after 45 minutes, still can't figure out why it's not working.

On the plus side though, I've got all my other coursework done (apart from my final year project, which is an ongoing thing. I dreamt about it last night - maybe it's my subconsciouness reminding me that I haven't done any work on it in the past three weeks?), so I've got 'lots' of time to spend worrying about why my rabbits won't disappear after they get eaten in Flash.

For my project, I was really meant to spend my spare three hours today playing around in Visual Studio and C# (neither of which I've used before - perfect choice to do my project with! NOT.), but I don't have it installed on my laptop, and going over to the computer labs would just be too easy.

Media of the Moment

I know NOTHING about Half Life, but this video really made me laugh. It's an animation someone did of a REALLY bad fanfic they found on the internet. The funny thing is, I thought when people wrote like that, it was intentional. I didn't think real people spoke like that because they didn't know any better.

Death Note celebrities!

Remember that post I made on Tuesday about the Death Note reference in the ad for Gwen Stefani's new perfume? Well, it turns out that it's not a coincidence! It appears Gwen is a Death Note fan! And guess what? Madonna's in a tiz with her for copying! Madonna is a Death Note fan too!

What's more awesome, check out this video. She's dressed like Mello! Apparently, Mello is her fav Death Note character. He's one of mine too. I'm cosplaying him! Yay!

It's interesting to find out this stuff.

Blues Brothers

I sit here in 'semi' cosplay, looking like the Blues Brothers' long lost sister. I'm off to Torquay tonight to see the Blues Brothers in the theatre (not the actual Blues Brothers, especially since one of them is dead), but a tribute band. We always go every time it comes around our way, and it's always fantastic.

I have black trousers, white shirt, black tie (which I was going to make into an Ouran Host Club tie, but still haven't got around to putting the purple stripe on it yet), black blazer and black trilby hat. The only thing I haven't got is the glasses. Quickest cosplay ever. If only all costumes were this easy - put together in five minutes without having to make ANYTHING with items I already own.

Nah, I know, it's not really cosplay, but it makes me happy to think of it as so.

I put it all on thinking it was half past six and almost time to go, then discovered it's only half five, and now here's me sitting here all dressed up and nowhere to go (yet). Ooh, that's a Rocky Horror reference.

Brownie points if you can name me the song words to that effect come in.

Dragonball Z Live Action Movie

Goku and Piccolo have been cast! I'm not familiar with the actors they've chosen, but based on looks, they've made a good choice.

Can't wait for this movie to come out.

The only bad thing is that it has the potential to make Dragonball Z mega popular - I don't want that. I'm happier being one of a small group of followers. I don't want this to be for me another case of 'I liked it before it was cool'.

L is in my computer!

To the vast majority of you, this image will mean very little. To my fellow Death Note fans, it's brilliant. It made me laugh when that advert came up. When it scrolled onto Gwen Stefani's perfume, however, I couldn't help but be just a little bit disappointed.

My complete love of Phantom of the Opera, coupled with my limited knowledge of Star Wars, made me laugh at this.

For some reason I don't know, I can't helpbut keep using this smiley all over the place. Why can't I stop?

I am getting so many phishing emails. They used to amuse me, since I was above them. It's quite hard to trick me with a phishing email. Yet now I am getting SO many of them, they're beginning to get on my nerves. I'm getting at least 5 a week.

The vast majority of them tell me that I have an unpaid item dispute on eBay for some random item - the funniest was the rights for an online dating business - or Halifax or Natwest Bank telling me I need to log into my online account to verify my account or I won't be able to use online banking. The best part of it is that I'm not even with Halifax or Natwest.

The most exciting thing that's happened to me today

I ordered a wig. It's the 60cm one in colour E02. It's the perfect style and colour for Renge from Ouran High School Host Club.

Monster Basement

Just spent half an hour playing this game, and it was pretty scary. The graphics aren't that great, but the music and the atmosphere freaked me out a bit. It's not a game I would want to play in the dark.

Another gem from Notdoppler.

Also, if you've got spare time, go play Tangerine Panic. It made me giggle.

Giving everyone the heads up...

Just to let you know, there's a virus going around MSN where someone on your contacts list will say they've found someone on a website that looks just like you, and then send a zip file for you to download. DO NOT open it. It is a virus that will hijack your MSN and then send the same message to your contacts pretending to be you. Most virus checkers should block it anyway, but if you don't download it in the first place, there shouldn't be anything to check.

Tell everyone you know. Else, people are gonna start falling out over friends sending them viruses, when it's not actually them sending them.

Driving Theory Test

I'm meant to be learning to drive soon, so I took a practice theory test on the internet. Now, bearing mind that I've done NO revision or learning whatsoever, I don't think I did badly. There were fifty questions, and the pass mark is 43. I got 36, which, considering I know bugger all about driving isn't bad. I hope the questions on the real test are as stupid as those on that practice one.

Okay, they're multiple choice, but some of them are stupid answers. For example:

Q. As you are driving, a red van pulls out close in front of you. What should you do?
Option: Accelerate to get as close to the van as possible.
To allow the van to get even closer.

Q. An accident has occurred and a passenger has a broken arm which is bleeding badly. Why should you try to keep the arm raised?
Option: To allow the casualty to be seen more easily.
Because a crumpled up car isn't easily spotted by emergency services. There are so many of them about these days.

Q. You are involved in an accident and a passenger is unconscious. What should you do?
Option: Clear away any glass.
Yes, I should make sure the area is tidy. Screw the ambulance, this place is a mess.

Q. Which kind of driving is most likely to put other people at risk?
Option: Considerate.
Option: Careful.
Option: Eco-friendly.
Something tells me it must be the final option: Competitive.

Q. A bus has pulled over at a bus stop. You should:
Option: Sound your horn continuously whilst overtaking the bus.
Yes, because buses don't have wing mirrors to see you, and the world isn't a loud enough place.

I really hope the real test has stupid questions like that.

ALcon 08

I know I'm gonna be there.

This is a really good little game.

It's made by the World Food Program, who actually donate a ten grains of rice to starving people in third world countries for every word you get right. Not only that, but it's a really good game for building vocabulary. I've actually learnt a few words today, and some words that were in the back of my mind have formed a part of my vocabulary, so expect more new words in my writing.

The magic of wireless!

We got wireless in our house today. I'm downstairs on the sofa right now! Haha!

Of course, this means I'm never going to get any work done now. Normally, when I come downstairs with the laptop, the distraction of the internet is gone. Now I can have the internet anywhere in the house, therefore be distracted by it anywhere in the house. Ah, the wonders of technology.

The Impossible Quiz

It's awesome. But question 50 confuses me. I always end up skipping it. Can someone figure out what the magic trick is on the second timer you get on Q50 after the dog eats the bone. I can make the bar go up, but not quick enough. I'm sure there's some knack to it that I'm just not getting.
