Hlp me o lord

Thought I'd let you know about a new project I'm involved with.

The story:
Poppy is 18 years old and contemplating suicide. Her mother was killed by a man driving at five times the drink-drive limit when she was nine, and she split up with her boyfriend Damien three weeks ago after she discovered his other two girlfriends, one of them pregnant. In her suicidal state, she writes an email about her troubles, asking God to send her a sign to restore her faith, but God's response was a little more personal than she was expecting...

I'm playing the part of Poppy, with another of my friends playing God (in more ways than one) and I'm enjoying it so much. I'd advise you all to go over there and have a look. It's getting updated regularly with responses from each side, so add it to your favourites and keep checking back!

Eclipse

I stayed up til 1:20 last night and finished New Moon, so now I'm racing to Newton Abbot today to go and buy the next (and I'm pretty sure final) book in the series. Dammit, can't wait!

Haha, I knew they would get back together by the end of New Moon.

New Moon

The sequel to Twlight. I was so excited when it came through the post. It killed me being at work and not being able to read it til I got home. Now I'm glad I didnt read it at work, and I'll tell you why.

Throughout my life, I've only ever cried twice at a book. Once when I was eight or nine and read The Little Matchgirl where she dies at the end, then three years ago at the fourth Artemis Fowl book. I could live with crying at books twice in my life, but this book has ruined that. I've cried so many times at this book that I've lost count. It was three last night, four this morning, and since I've come home from work I've lost count. It's not a good book in the sense that it's entertaining and makes you feel happy when you read it. It breaks my heart, but it's good in that sense. Stephenie Meyer is so skilled at writing. I feel every emotion that Bella goes through, exactly how she feels it. When Edward left her, it felt like he was leaving me. When she puts herself in danger and hallucinates hearing Edward, I get the same rush she gets. I've been moping about all day because of this book. I feel terrible because of it. I really wish I hadnt read it. It's breaking my heart. I'm still not finished yet. I've read so much though. I started it last night, and have been reading all day today, and have now read almost 400 pages of the 597. I was originally planning to order the next one online, but I think I'm gonna have to go to the shop and buy it myself, seeing the speed I'm reading it at (just waiting and praying for the chapter that I hope exists where Edward comes back). I don't think I'd be able to stand sitting here waiting for the next book to arrive.

Twilight

I'm not one for reading popular books. I hate Harry Potter with a passion. These books never live up to the hype they're given. I'd been hearing about Twilight from people for so long, I didn't have high hopes for it. It didnt really sound like my kind of story, but I decided to give in and give it a try.

I started it, and I thought that my initial opinions were right. It started off really slow and I didnt really enjoy it at all. I couldnt grasp the characters or storyline. But, it did get better. ALOT better. For the past few days, I've been absolutely obsessed. I can see why so many people like it. I was up at three o clock this morning, not able to sleep because I was feeling sorry for Edward. Traditionally, I HATE waiting for the bus, but I really enjoyed being 20 minutes early for it today since it meant I got to read some more. It was fantastic. I finished it today, and finishing it really hurt. There's a next book, and I've been frantically shopping for it online today, trying to find the website that will get it to me soonest. Money is no object. I NEED the next book!

So yeah, go out and read it now.

Such an awesome song lol. It fits Tamaki perfectly.

One of the best AMVs I've ever seen too. In fact, if it werent for the subtitles, it would be perfect.

Schrodinger

Schrodinger

Let's just remind ourselves that Schrodinger is awesome.

NEED FUN

I can't wait til my coursework is done with. I havent had time to have any fun in 5 weeks now (since Easter) since I've been working so hard on my coursework. I've gotta work like a demon til Thursday, then once that's over with, I've got so many fun things I'm gonna do:

  • Play Phoenix Wright 3 - I imported it but havent had chance to play it
  • Play Sims 2 - It's been ages since I last played it
  • Crack out the sewing machine and start working on my cosplay costumes for Amecon
  • Finish typing up my new book
I suppose exam revision should be on that list somewhere too...

I won!

I got joint first place in the cosplay competition at the manga night last night! RESULT! I had a bit of a feeling I was going to, strangely enough. I can now die happy. I got to choose from a pile of prizes, and I chose Trinity Blood vol 1, since it sounds just like Hellsing, so it can't be that bad.

There's more photos in my cosplay.com gallery now too.

Nekozawa

Change of plan - I'm not cosplaying Ema on the 17th, I'm cosplaying this guy:

I love the cloak so much. It's gonna be my first time crossplaying.

Oh bugger

There's a manga night on the 17th, and I have little choice but to wear Ema Skye again, but that means doing a rush job on the skirt AGAIN. Oh, the flashbacks. I'm not sewing metres and metres of ribbon on again for the stripes though. No way. This time I'm trying fabric paint.

lolz

It did make me giggle when I noticed the unintentional joke on the page for my graphics module at university. You might have to view the picture full screen to see if you can find it, but it made me laugh.

For reasons I don't quite understand, I've become suddenly obsessed with the songs from Chicago. It's strange, because I never really liked the film that much, even though I'm a sucker for modern musicals. I have listened to this song so many times now it's unbelievable. You'd be suprised how in many of the Chicago songs there are lots of parts you don't notice until you've listened to it a bazillion times. I especially love what I think is a tuba in this song. You don't notice it at first, but it's there if you look for it. I especially love the 'are you kidding?' bit. The tuba on that bit is the best.

So true!

A friend sent me this ages ago and it made me giggle, then I forgot all about it. Then I found it today and it made me giggle all over again.

New cosplay costume!

Not a new character, but a different variation of a character I was already doing. I'm doing this outfit instead of Renge's school uniform. It was so difficult and I'd completely fallen out of love with it, but when I saw this outfit, I knew this was the one I had to do. I had the wig anyway since I was planning to do her anyway, so it made sense.

Renge has such an evil hair colour. I look at her in these photos and think that my wig is completely the wrong colour. The only thing that consoles me is watching another episode where I realise my wig is the PERFECT colour because her hair has changed shades.

Testing...

Meanwhile, you can look at my favourites on Youtube.

Guilty Pleasures

I used to love this film back in year 6. Still do to pretty much the same extent. I know alot of people never let go of the things they used to love as kids. Me more than most people! I never really liked the princessey films that much. I'd watch them, but I was never one where I wanted the prince and the princess to fall in love, but The Swan Princess was something special. You just wanted Odette and Derek to get back together so bad! Damn you Rothbart! Evil man! Who needs Swan Lake with all the prancy ballet when you can just watch The Swan Princess with more or less the same story, just more exciting and entertaining?

I still know all the songwords. Lol, I'm so sad, aren't I? #We're off on a mission, we're tough in good condition, we're short but standing tall, NO FEAR!#

Okay, I'll shut up now :P
